The role of our organization is the technology strategic steering and scientific management of CASSATA. Our efforts aim at ensuring that research and technical objectives of the project is effectively and efficiently achieved. Technical progress is being monitored by exchanging technical information among partners whereas technological choices, studies and designs are supervised to ensure consistency with the overall project objectives.

What does CERTH aim to achieve by participating in the CASSATA project? By participating in a defence research action with other well-established companies, institutes and universities, our organisation expects to get involved in advanced research and development activities by collaborating and networking with leading beneficiaries in their technical areas. Apart from that, by engaging with brilliant researchers in this project we expect to gain new knowledge and skills in cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

What specific areas does CERTH focus on in the CASSATA project to improve covert sensing and operational effectiveness amidst rapid changes in European defense?

To enhance the operational effectiveness of CASSATA project, our organisation oversees the technical aspects of the project, ensuring all components meet the required specifcations and performance standards. The technical progress is regularly monitored and reported, along with guidance and support to consortium partners. Since technologies in the European defence evolve rapidly, on-going R&D activities are encouraged to explore new sensor technologies and methodologies.
