INDRA

What does INDRA do in the CASSATA project?

Indra Sistemas is the leader of the Collaborative Sensors Technical Area of the CASSATA Project, aimed at enabling technologies in adaptive and collaborative sensing, data processing, data fusion, artificial intelligence, and sensor management to develop a multimodal/multiplatform sensor grid. Indra also performs relevant activities in the RF and Radar Technical Area 3, leading and contributing to developments related to passive radar. Additionally, Indra contributes to several Key Technologies (KTs), particularly in multimodal fusion models, interoperability layers, and advanced passive sensing architectures, enhancing mission resilience and detection performance across distributed sensor networks..

What does INDRA aim to achieve by participating in the CASSATA project?

Indra Sistemas expects to demonstrate the operational benefits of a distributed network of covert sensors by improving situational awareness through collaborative sensing, data fusion, and AI-driven management. The project enables testing and refinement of key technologies in realistic scenarios, helping assess performance in terms of resilience, stealth, and detection accuracy. By leveraging simulation tools and mission-oriented validation, Indra aims to advance its capabilities in multi-domain sensor integration and reinforce its position as a leader in defence-grade sensor networks and passive sensing technologies.

What specific areas does INDRA focus on in the CASSATA project to improve covert sensing and operational effectiveness amidst rapid changes in European defense?

Indra Sistemas will focus on advancing sensor management and the exploitation, fusion, and interoperability of data from heterogeneous and distributed covert sensors. Within the Collaborative Sensors Technical Area, Indra aims to enhance cooperation among sensors through innovative AI/ML-based methods, ensuring scalable and resilient situational awareness. Additionally, in Technical Area 3, Indra contributes to the development of passive radar solutions to improve covert detection capabilities in contested electromagnetic environments. These efforts will support greater operational effectiveness in rapidly evolving threat scenarios.
