IDE

What does IDE do in the CASSATA project?
IDE is actively involved in WP1, WP2, WP14, WP15, and W16, as the task leader of T14.2. Specifically, IDE’s main role is to develop state-of-the-art LPD/LPI networking techniques for distributed covert sensing, i.e., secure and “stealth” interconnection of distributed sensors. To achieve this, the company capitalizes on its long-standing experience in radio solutions as well as its extensive R&D activities.

What does IDE aim to achieve by participating in the CASSATA project?
1. Create collaboration opportunities with other experts in the consortium.
2. Enhance company’s know-how by exploring novel LPD/LPI solutions and use cases.
3. Contribute to EU’s defense research projects and capabilities.

What specific areas does IDE focus on in the CASSATA project to improve covert sensing and operational effectiveness amidst rapid changes in European defense?
Special focus will be given on:
1. Waveform design with LPD/LPI characteristis
2. Baseband algorithms for reliable communication in harsh propagation environments

3. Multi-antenna techniques for reliability, covertness, and anti-jamming measures.
